Nutrition Undergraduate Program

Nutrition is an integrative science with the overall objective of improving the health and well-being of individuals and groups. Nutritional inquiry encompasses not only the roles of electrons, atoms, molecules, genes, cells, organs, and complex organisms in biological life processes, but also the links between life science and health, behavior, education, population, culture, and economics.
 

Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BS Nutrition)

The Bachelor of Science in Nutrition degree program includes six options:
  1. Dietetics
  2. Nutritional Sciences
  3. Nutrition and Public Health
  4. Nutrition Honors
  5. Honors in Advanced Nutritional Sciences
  6. International Nutrition

*The nutrition and business option is no longer offered to students whe are admitted under the 2014-16 catalog.

Bachelor of Science and Arts in Nutrition (BSA Nutrition)

The Bachelor of Science and Arts degree program is a cross-diciplinary degree for students interested in combining core sciences with coursework in the fine arts, liberal arts, communications, or business.  All options combine a prescribed common core of science and nutrition courses with additional coursework in the area of specialization.
