Application Tips
- Be sure to carefully read the instructions before beginning and submitting your application.
- Applications are not evaluated on a rolling basis. There is no advantage given to those who submit their application first. Students should take time to thoroughly answer each question and to carefully craft the essay responses. Proofread all answers and essays before submitting.
- Letters of recommendation are OPTIONAL. If you opt to have letters submitted on your behalf, only the following currently appointed UT faculty members are allowed to submit a letter: Professors (Full, Associate, and Assistant), Lecturers, Instructors, and Teaching Assistants.
- Letter writers will receive an email with instructions and a link as to where they should submit letters only after you have submitted your application.
- The deadline for letters of recommendation is also March 22. Students requesting to have letters submitted on their behalf must complete and submit the application before the March 22 deadline. Give your letter writer plenty of time to ready and submit their recommendation. Submitting your application within days of the deadline (or on the deadline itself) does not give your letter writer an appropriate amount of time to craft and upload your letter. Please be considerate of your recommender’s time.
- This application will determine awards for current students for the 2021-2022 academic year. Students graduating in May 2021 or August 2021 are not eligible to apply.
