Ingredients for the pancakes:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil


  1. In a large bowl, combine your dry ingredients; flour, sugar, baking powder and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl combine the remaining egg, milk and oil.
  3. Create a well in the center of the dry ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients in the well of the dry ingredients.
  4. Stir until the batter is moist but still lumpy.
  5. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat.
  6. Pour or scoop the batter onto the griddle, using approximately 1/4 cup for each pancake. Flip the pancake when you observe air bubbles pop and form holes that stay open on the surface. Slide a thin spatula under your pancake, and quickly flip it over and allow it to cook for another minute or two.
  7. Serve hot.
