Mug Oats

Serves 1

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time: 1½ minutes

Ingredients:

  • ¼ cup of oats
  • ½ medium ripe banana
  • ½ tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon fat-free milk
  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds

Directions:

  1. In a mug or coffee cup, mash a banana with a fork.
  2. Add oats, flaxseed, cinnamon and milk, and mix thoroughly.
  3. Sprinkle some chopped almonds on top of the banana mixture.
  4. Microwave on high for 1½ minutes.
  5. Enjoy!
