Invest in the Future of the School of Human Ecology

Whether you are interested in making an outright contribution, creating an endowment, or setting up a planned gift to the School or one of its Departments, every gift is significant and appreciated.  Here are some ways in which you may make your gift to the School:

Online Gifts

Access the convenience of secure online giving through the University's giving page.  The website allows you to make gifts using your credit card and tell us how your gift is to be used for support of the School of Human Ecology.

Checks sent via U.S. Mail

All checks in support of the School should be made payable to The University of Texas at Austin. Please note in the memo line your gift's designation to the School of Human Ecology. Checks should be mailed to the address listed below.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Alumni and friends can maximize the impact of their giving to the School of Human Ecology hrough employer Matching Gift Programs. Most matches are dollar-for-dollar (1:1), effectively doubling — or in some cases tripling — the value of donors’ gifts. Some companies match the gifts of retirees and spouses as well as those of active employees.

Bequests and Planned Gifts

Gift planning is one of the most powerful ways you can support the School of Human Ecology. Through a Planned or Deferred Gift, donors can positively affect the future of the School and its students. Some enable you to support the Department of your choice or the School as a whole, receive tax benefits, and sustain your current lifestyle. Such gifts include bequests through a will, retirement plan assets, and charitable trusts. Endowments

When you create an Endowment, you can honor someone important to you while providing permanent support to the School of Human Ecology. The money is invested, and each year a distribution is made from the endowment to support the program or area of your choice.

In-Kind Gifts

Some examples are property, stock, and art collections.  To ensure proper processing, donors should alert a staff member in the College of Natural Sciences Development Office at (512) 471-3299 to discuss their in-kind gift.
