Please join us for a public, free talk, How much of cancer is preventable through nutrition and physical activity? by Dr. Edward Giovannucci, MD, ScD from the Harvard T.H. Chan School Of Public Health at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Giovannucci is a leader in the field investigating how nutritional, environmental and lifestyle factors relate to various cancers, especially those of the prostate and colorectum.  Additionally, he studies how nutrients may interact with genetic susceptibilities in determining an individual's risk for developing cancer.

The talk will be followed by a discussion about personalized medicine, genes and nutrition with Dr. Molly Bray, Chair of Nutritional Sciences, Dr. Thomas Caven, Clinical Assistant Professor at Dell Medical School, and Dr. William Tierney, Chair of Population Health at Dell Medical School.  KUT's Rebecca McInroy, producer of Two Guys on Your Head, will moderate.

Location: Hogg Memorial Auditorium
