Hello! I'm an Academic Advisor with the Human Ecology Advising Center. See the Human Ecology Advising Center website for details about our office, current advising availability, registration details, FAQs, and departmental updates related to registration for each of our majors.

I'm a UT School of Human Ecology graduate and completed the Coordinated Program in Dietetics in 2011 to become a Registered Dietitian. I realized I wanted to support college students in some way as a result of my volunteer and work experiences on campus while in school, particularly with the Nutrition Peer Education Program within University Health Services. I thought academic advising might be a good fit and have been working at UT since fall 2011! In November 2014, I was excited to join the Human Ecology Advising Center.

Although I do not currently work as a Registered Dietitian, I definitely love talking with people about all things food-related. In addition to being fascinated by the gut microbiome, I'm particularly passionate about developing a positive approach to food in a world where we are often influenced to have a difficult and disordered relationship to our bodies and food, often without even knowing it. If you ever want to chat about this, I'm all ears! On this topic, I also want to encourage students to seek any support that might be beneficial as you go through your time at UT. A couple of resources I like to point out are our Registered Dietitians at University Health Services (available to UT students and staff) and our CARE Counselors who are available to meet with CNS students.

I look forward to assisting you with academic planning and anything else to support you towards graduating from UT!
