Fusion, the University of Texas at Austin student fashion show, features designs from 24 senior students in the University Fashion Group. Industry professionals Carla McDonald, Patty Hoffpauir, Sergio Guadarrama, Lance Avery Morgan, Megan Summerville, Linda Asaf and Gail Chovan will award prizes.

From paper to fabric, a video created by the students, is available to watch.

WHERE: Frank Erwin Center, 1701 Red River St. Student Project Exhibition: Immersed in Cotton Exhibition Room (Lone Star Room), followed by the Runway Show (Arena)

WHO MAY ATTEND: Attendance is free and open to the public. Reserve your ticket at the Erwin Center box office.

BACKGROUND: Nearly 5,000 people are expected to attend one of the nation's largest student-run fashion shows this year at The University of Texas at Austin. The Fusion Fashion Show, which is free and open to the public, will include 120 original runway designs that showcase a range of student innovations such as digital prints, clothing with programmable lights and performance-designed safety garments. Sponsored by the University Co-operative Society, Lexus of Austin, Cotton Incorporated and Russell Korman Fine Jewelers, Fusion prizes will be awarded in categories such as most innovative fashion collection, most marketable fashion collection, best technical collection, best evening gown, best bridal gown and best overall collection of 2015.
