Becoming a Public Health Major at UT Austin


The Public Health major is open to any student interested in this field of study! You will remain an "entry-level" Public Health major until successful completion of the following introductory courses (can be completed in residence, in transfer or with claimed credit-by exam).

BIO 311C & BIO 311D, Biology I & II, prerequisite:  CH 301

CH 301 & CH 302, Chemistry I & II, prerequisite:  calculus or statistics

M 408C, K, N or R, Calculus, prerequisite:  appropriate placement exam score

PBH 317, Intro to Public Health, there are no prerequistes for PBH 317

Grades of C- or better are required in all science courses.
