Brian Wiley will present a talk titled, “Defining the Relationship(s): Unpacking the Short vs. Long-Term Mating Distinction” as part of the on-going speaker series in the Department of Human Development and Family Sciences.

Brian got his Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology at Miami University (Oxford, OH) where he worked for three years with Amanda Diekman.  He began his graduate career at Texas A&M University where he earned his Master’s of Science in Psychology before transferring with Dr. Paul Eastwick to the University of Texas – Austin.  Broadly speaking, Brian is interested in mating strategies, attachment, and how people learn from past relationships.  He also hosts a (sort-of) weekly podcast called “The Love Geeks” about relationship science with his lab mate, Lucy Hunt.
