Wild Party Wear


On entering the new exhibit in Gearing Hall, you feel like you are dropping by a party from the latter part of the 20th century. Wacky and Wild Wardrobe was created by students from the Division of Textiles and Apparel working under the direction of Gail Chovan.

MEDIA ADVISORY: Nation’s Largest Student Fashion Show Will Spotlight Latest Runway Designs

EVENT: Elements, The University of Texas at Austin student fashion show, featuring designs from 22 senior students in the University Fashion Group, includes a special collection of sports after-wear modeled by UT Austin athletic luminaries Edith Royal, A.J. Abrams and Quan Cosby, among others. Industry professionals Carla McDonald, Sergio Guadarrama, Lance Avery Morgan, Linda Asaf and Carmel Fenves will award a number of prizes.

Texas-Sized Fashion Show Puts Innovative Student Designs on Display

Fusion, the University of Texas at Austin student fashion show, features designs from 24 senior students in the University Fashion Group. Industry professionals Carla McDonald, Patty Hoffpauir, Sergio Guadarrama, Lance Avery Morgan, Megan Summerville, Linda Asaf and Gail Chovan will award prizes.

UT Fashion Show Spectrum

The University Fashion Group proudly presents the 2014 UT fashion show, Spectrum. Spectrum, a powerful and all-encompassing word, fits this year's senior design students perfectly. By encompassing each individual's work as a piece of the overall spectrum of collections, all the designs come to together in a fluid, powerful way that displays a new wave of technical and creative design skills.

Student Designers Push Fashion Limits

Watch out, Project Runway! The 2013 Fashion Show, "Transcend," produced by the University Fashion Group, hit the runways Thursday, April 18, at the Frank Erwin Center. The annual event is a showcase for the nearly 120 original garments created by textiles and apparel students nearing completion of the apparel design program.
