Every year, the American Public Health Association designates the first week of April as National Public Health Week. The student organization, Texas Public Health, works to bring the event to the UT Austin campus. During the week, they promote health education, disease prevention, and population health within the UT community.

Their last event is co-hosted with the College of Pharmacy. Through Operation Naloxone students will receive training for opioid overdose, and information about opioids, addiction, and prevention.
