Margaret Drake-Studstill




deGraffenried Lab

Margaret Drake-Studstill is a PhD candidate in the deGraffenried lab based at the Dell Pediatric Research Institute. Her research focuses on the role the mTOR pathway plays in polarizing macrophages in the prostate cancer tumor microenvironment. Her research interests include immunotherapy, metabolic mechanisms, cancer biology and naturally derived compounds. She has a bachelor's degree in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and a master's degree in pharmacy from the University of Florida. Prior to joining the deGraffenried lab, Margaret worked as a paralegal and scientific advisor in patent prosecution law.

Margaret's research interests include immunotherapy, metabolic mechanisms, cancer biology and naturally derived compounds.
