Matthew J Landry

After graduating with his PhD, Matthew will complete his dietetic internship through the UT-Austin Coordinated Program in Dietetics.

B.S. in Nutrition and Food Sciences, Louisiana State University 

Matthew's major areas of research interest are examining overall dietary quality and composition of a healthful diet on obesity, metabolic syndrome, and risk factors for chronic diseases; exploring human health and environmental impacts of the extant food environment; utilization of novel dietary interventions as conduits to promote health at the population level; and accurately conceptualizing and measuring food security in children to understand how determinants of health exasperate short and long-term health inequalities in food insecure children.
