Nutrition and health promotion research scientist in the Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas at Austin (UT-Austin). Currently completing a 1-year dietetic internship at UT-Austin, Department of Nutritional Sciences and is expected to sit for the registered dietitian examination in August 2020.

 

Education

PhD in Nutritional Sciences 

B.S. in Nutrition and Food Sciences, Louisiana State University 

Current research is focused on examining overall dietary quality and composition of a healthful diet on obesity, metabolic syndrome, and risk factors for chronic diseases and the utilization of novel, dietary interventions as conduits to promote health at the population level. Committed to working in the advocacy of policies that will address nutrition-related health inequalities and exploring policies that provide equitable access and availability to nutritious foods.
