John Ivy, Ph.D., will present a talk titled “The Effect of Nutrient Timing on Exercise Recovery and Training Adaptation” as part of the on-going seminar series in the Department of Nutritional Sciences. Ivy is a professor and chair of the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at The University of Texas at Austin.
Ivy’s research program examines the timing of nutrient consumption in order to maximize the beneficial physiological effects of physical training. Ivy, author of the recent book The Performance Zone, has written books and scholarly articles on the intersection of nutrient intake and athletic performance.
