You can find more information about The University of Texas at Austin Commencement exercise here. University Commencement seating opens at 5:00pm, Saturday, May 18, 2013.

Hook ‘em and stay in touch!

Please note: For the security and safety of our graduates and their families, backpacks, tote bags or any bags larger than 12 inches in any dimension will not be allowed into any of the Commencement venues. This applies to college, school and departmental ceremonies as well as the university-wide Commencement ceremony at the Tower.

Are you interested in obtaining scholarship funding for the 2013-2014 academic year?

Last year, we awarded scholarship funds to 72 exceptional undergraduate students. This year, you could be one of those students!

If you are a major in Human Development and Family Sciences, Nutritional Sciences, Textiles and Apparel or Human Ecology, you are eligible to apply. Regardless of where you are in your academic career (only those students preparing for graduation before August, 2013 are ineligible), you should consider applying for School of Human Ecology scholarships.

What will you need to apply? You should have a UT EID and password. If you are claimed as a dependent on your parents’ taxes, you should collect some basic information about your parents’ tax filing from last year (2012). You will prepare a personal essay, and you will need a resume. You will need two references (and one of those references will need to be a UT faculty member)–so, be sure to contact your references in advance to ask their permission to be included as part of your scholarship application. Do you have all of that ready? Then you are ready to go.

This year, we have brought the entire process on-line! When you are ready to go, you can find the 2013-2014 School of Human Ecology Scholarship Application here.

Completed applications are due by April 15, 2013 at 5:00pm.

Have questions or concerns, please contact Martha Berry by email or by phone at 512-471-1938.
